National Heat Treatment Training Trust Fund
Personnel are specially trained in the Heat Treatment processes and must be correctly qualified and up-to-date in their training and education in order to carry out their duties safely and effectively.
This video was developed in association with the Alberta Learning Information System (ALIS) to promote the Heat Treatment Trade and Industry.
There is a provision for Heat Treatment Training. For each hour worked, the employer makes a contribution to the National Heat Treatment Training Trust Fund (NHTTTF), which is used to reimburse eligible members for education and training costs for approved Field Heat Treatment Technician Training, and professional development courses offered through the Quality Control Council of Canada. Members are expected to plan ahead and to make every effort to schedule training to coincide with work schedules in that region (if applicable).
Eligible Expenses
The NHTTTF Rules and Regulations define the expenses eligible for reimbursement under the plan. You are required to seek pre-approval before taking any courses.
If you have any further questions after reviewing the NHTTTF Rules and Regulations please contact the Training Fund Administrator.
How to Submit a Claim
The procedure for submitting expenses to the Training Fund are outlined on the NHTTTF Rules and Regulations. In order to ensure that your claim is eligible, you should contact the Training Fund Administrator prior to incurring your claim. The administrator can also tell you what information is required in order to be reimbursed for eligible claims.
Do not submit expenses to the Training Fund on any other claim form except the NHTTTF Training Course Reimbursement Form.
