There is a provision for Heat Treatment Training. For each hour worked, the employer makes a contribution to the National Heat Treatment Training Trust Fund, which is used to reimburse eligible members for education and training costs for approved Field Heat Treatment Technician Training, and professional development courses offered through the Quality Control Council of Canada. Members are expected to plan ahead and to make every effort to schedule training to coincide with work schedules in that region (if applicable).
The Rules and Regulations / Règles et Règlements define the expenses eligible for reimbursement under the plan. You are required to seek pre-approval BEFORE taking any courses.
If you have any further questions after reviewing the Rules and Regulations / Règles et Règlements please feel free to contact the TRAINING FUND ADMINISTRATOR or call 780-488-3455.
